Season after season, though perhaps it would be more appropriate to say month after month, he has always been an early achiever, making his senior debut at a young age. He made his senior professional debut in April 2022 for Buducnost Podgorica, taking no time at all to find the back of the net, thus becoming the all-time second youngest scorer in the Montenegrin top division.

Adzic won the Montenegrin top division in the 2022/2023 season, playing an important role in his team’s success as he made 23 appearances and scored 3 goals. He went onto play 42 matches last season in all competitions, contributing 8 goals and 4 assists.

Vasilije also made his European debut with Buducnost Podgorica last season, making four appearances, two of which were in the Champions League and the other two in the Conference League. He scored a goal and provided an assist despite playing just 86 minutes in the Conference League.

His rapid development provided him with the opportunity to represent the Montenegrin Under-21 National team – for whom he has already scored his first goal – having come up through the youth ranks from the Under-15s to the Under-19s.
